Music has long been an important part of my life, ever since I started playing the cello aged nine. I went on to study music at the University of Hull where I was awarded a First, having studied modules in performance, session musicianship and composition. I have 13 years of orchestral experience in various amateur orchestras around the country as well as experience with string quartets and small ensembles and paid work as a pit musician. Encore! A night with West End stars

On the 14th of April 2024, I was lucky enough to perform with the Northern Musical Theatre Orchestra (NMTO) in the Koningin Elizabethzaal in Antwerp Belgium. This was a paid gig as part of a 50-piece orchestra accompanying West End performers Rachel Tucker, Ben Forster, Emma Kingston, Jenna Boyd, Mary-Jean Caldwell, Matt Blaker and Lauren Byrne. The set list included music from Les Miserables, Oklahoma, Hamilton, Sweeney Todd and West Side Story amongst others.

Need a cellist for your pit band?

I am currently available for hire as a pit musician. I have a strong history of performing in pit bands for amateur dramatics societies in Nottingham, and have recently begun performing again in my local area. I am always open to similar work and I know cellists are particularly hard to come by so please get in touch if you are looking for one! I can comfortably cover the Merseyside and Cheshire West Areas but love to go further afield too.
